Cosmetology I

  • We will review Chemical Texturing principles
  • Students will continue to work on Business Plans/Portfolios.  Wednesday we will start interviewing process for businesses
Cosmetology II and III
  • Students are to complete any outstanding performing assessments: roller sets, fingerwaves, and ridge and skip waves, pincurls, braiding and twists, hair cuts--blunt cut, layered cut, using marcel iron, perm rodding and perming the hair.
  • Students will continue to work on Business Plans/Portfolios: services and products offered, price list

Cosmetology I
  • Teacher will demonstrate sectioning for perm rodding the hair. Students are to practice sectioning and perm rodding the entire manikin head.

Cosmetology I
  • We will go through an overview of Chemical Texturing.  After class discussion, students are to complete the Chemical Texturing chapter review questions. 
  • We will begin with our course summative project:  Business Plans/Portfolios--brainstorming type of cosmetology business, business name, mission statement, vision, goals, and marketing strategies
Cosmetology II and III
  • Students are to complete any outstanding performing assessments:  roller sets, fingerwaves, and ridge and skip waves, pincurls, braiding and twists, hair cuts--blunt cut, layered cut, using marcel iron, perm rodding and perming the hair.

Cosmetology II and III

  • Students will continue to work on hair cutting principles--blunt cut, layered cut, and using the marcel iron. Students will demonstrate marcel iron and hair cutting. 
  • Students will begin perm rodding and perms. 

Tuesday

  • We will finish up our feedback session for the Career Tech Expo/Cosmetology Show

  • We will restart Chemistry unit since there were so many interruptions with preparing for Career Tech Expo.  After class discussion, students will work on chapter review questions
  • We will discuss the chemistry summative project--topics will be selected

  • Teacher will demonstrate hair cutting--blunt cut, layered cut, and using the marcel iron. Students will demonstrate marcel iron and hair cutting.
