Cosmetology I
  • We will review Chemistry in Cosmetology
  • We will begin Intro to Chemical Texturing
  • Students are to complete Chemistry Texturing chapter review questions after reading and class discussion
Cosmetology II
  • Students will begin sections for Chemical Texturing--perm rodding
Tuesday
  •  Students will present their Chemistry in Cosmetology project.
  • Students will continue to work on Intro. to Chemical Texturing
  • Performance:  Introduce sectioning for perm rodding
Cosmetology II
  •  Students will work on perm rodding in preparation for perming.  Students may continue on with perming application process after teacher has checked sectioning and rods placement
Wednesday-Friday
Cosmetology I
  • Students will continue to work on Intro. to Chemical Texturing
  • Performance:  Students will work on sectioning for perm rodding and go through a mock perming application process
Cosmetology II

  • We will begin hair cutting:  1) go through an overview, discuss key points.  Performance:  blunt cut
Wednesday
Cosmetology I
  • We will begin Chemistry unit. We will discuss how chemistry factors into cosmetology.  Students will read Chemistry chapter and answer chapter review questions.
Cosmetology
  • We will continue with hair cutting:  1) go through an overview, discuss key points.  Performance:  layered cut
Thursday and Friday

  • We will begin with reviews 
  • Project:  Students will have to select a chemistry topic to present to class--explain how the topic is relevant to cosmetology, incorporate the use of technology, visuals/demonstrations.
