    • We are currently on the Chemistry in Cosmetology unit.  This week students will present their Chemistry in cosmetology projects.  The project should cover 3 main points 1)Define and explain your key term 2) explain how your key term is utilized in cosmetology 3)provide a visual/demonstration of the key term via technology

    • Chemistry key terms test
    Friday

    • Students will be introduced to next unit Chemical Texturing and perm rodding as the performance assessment
    Cosmetology II
    Monday-Friday

    • We are currently on the hairstyling unit:  performance assessments include fingerwaving pincurls, braiding, twisting, hair wrapping

    • Students will present their cosmetology skills performance group project:  theme is Synchronization.

    March 2-6

    Monday

    • We will review, prepare for unit summative assessments:  
      • for level 1, Anatomy & Physiology assessment
      • Level 2, Principles of Hair Design
    Tuesday

    • Students will take summative assessments
      • Level 2, will then work on fingerwaving and time/grade sheets
      • Level 1, after Anatomy project presentations, students will perform Anatomy related cosmetology procedures
    Wednesday-Friday

    • We will begin our next unit
      • Level 1, Chemistry in Anatomy
        • After discussing and providing an overview of Chemistry in Cosmetology, students will complete the chapter review
      • Level 2, Hairstyling
        • Wetstyling will be the focus
          • fingerwaving, pin curls
    General School Announcement:

    o   Parent Power Presentation – March 3 at 6:30 in the Media Center

    o   Parents of 9th, 10th and 11th graders - Plan to attend the “College Credit Now” Summit on Thursday, March 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Campbell High School.  Meet college representatives from Georgia State University, Georgia Highlands, Georgia Perimeter and Chattahoochee Technical College as well as representatives from the DOE.  LEARN ABOUT 100% PAID TUITION AND EARNING COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL.
