• Monday: Students will work on their course summative portfolio.   
• Tuesday:  Students will work on their course summative portfolio.   
• Wednesday: Students will work on their course summative portfolio, applying Principles of Hair Design to cosmetology services—hairstyles, nail care, and facial/skin care.   
• Thursday:  Students will work on their course summative portfolio, applying Principles of Hair Design to cosmetology services—hairstyles, nail care, and facial/skin care.   
• Friday: “Freestyle Friday”:  Students will work on their course summative portfolio, applying Principles of Hair Design to cosmetology services—hairstyles, nail care, and facial/skin care.  Students are allowed to work on any missing assignments. 

April 8-12

• Monday: Labor Day Holiday   
• Tuesday:  Properties of the Hair & Scalp Assessment Review.  Level 3, Principles of Hair Design:  Harmonizing hairstyles per facial features assessment review 
• Wednesday: Amnesty Day:  Students will be allowed to work on missing assignments or revisit any assessments related to the standards previously covered. 
• Thursday:  Chemistry of Various Shampoos and Conditioners 
• Friday:   Hair analysis to determine selection of shampoo and conditioner for client

·       Tuesday:  Client Consultation, Draping and Hair Analysis

·       Wednesday:  Customer Service, Client Consultation, Hair Analysis Assessment

·       Thursday:  Create hairstyles to minimize flaws and accentuate likable features (head form and facial features).

What are the students learning?

·       Monday:  1) Client consultation and manicures/pedicures. 2) The difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing.

·       Tuesday:  1) Client consultation and manicures/pedicures. 2) The difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing.

·       Wednesday:  1) Client consultation and facials. 2) The difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing. Responsibilities as a salon professional. 

·       Thursday:  1) Client consultation and facials. 2) The difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing. Responsibilities as a salon professional. 

·       Friday:  1) Client Consultation 2) Basic cosmetology services

December 10-19

What are the students learning?  How to create professional tools, such as a portfolio, to use during interviews and to increase clientele. 

• Monday-Friday: Students will work on their Course Summative Digital Performance Assessment Portfolio.  The Portfolio is due December 19, 2018. 
• Thursday:  EOPA make ups are December 13, 2018.

• Tuesday:   We will review recent content covered:  Properties of the Hair, Scalp, and Skin, Chemistry of Shampoos and Conditioners, Principles of Hair Design, and Hairstyling. 
• Wednesday:   SLO Assessment today.  We will review recent content covered:  Properties of the Hair, Scalp, and Skin, Chemistry of Shampoos and Conditioners, Principles of Hair Design, and Hairstyling. 
• Thursday:  Twists hairstyle practice.  
• Friday:   Twists hairstyle performance assessment.

November 5-9

What are the students learning? Why Study Hairstyling? 

• Monday: Chapter 17, Hairstyling key terms and how hairstyling is an important, foundational skill that allows the professional to articulate creativity and deliver a specific outcome desired by the client. 2) Thermal styling practice.   
• Tuesday:   STUDENT HOLIDAY 
• Wednesday:   Chapter 17, Hairstyling key terms and how hairstyling skills will enable you to help clients to be as contemporary as they would like to be, allowing them to keep up with the trends. 2) Thermal styling practice.        
• Thursday:  Chapter 17, Hairstyling key terms Assessment 2) Thermal styling practice.  
• Friday:   The client looks to you for that special style desired for that special day.  1)Thermal styling performance assessment. 2)Cosmetology Show Progression Assessment.
