  • Monday-complete Post-Units Performance Checklist Assessment
  • Wednesday, Friday-students will have 4 assignment options to choose from:  hairstyling, facials, manicure, missing assignments
Cosmetology II and Advanced Cosmetology
  • Tuesday, Thursday-Continue working on layered haircuts followed by hairstyling

January 24-28

Cosmetolgy I
Continue Post-Units Perfomance Checklist Assessment--this week all demonstrations/performances will be completed in the salon (all written sections were completed last week)

Cosmetolgy II and Adv. Cosmetology
Summative Performance Assessment:  Haircuts will be assessed by checking if the haircut matches the student's intentions and principles of haircutting.  The assessments are timed assessments. 
Timed assessment on sectioning and entire head blunt cut Wednesday. 
Timed assessment on sectioning and entire head layered cut Friday.

*Data Results
6% of Cosmetology I students showed proficient knowledge about Facial/make-up application before studying the lesson.  The goal is for at least 50% of Cosmetology I students to be proficient after studying the lesson--by February 13th. 
19% of Cosmetology II and Adv. Cosmetology students showed proficient knowledge about Haircutting before studying the lesson. The goal is for at least 50% of Cosmetology II and Adv. Cosmetology students to be at proficient level after studying the lesson--by February 13th.

Unexpected Snow Week last week, so this week's lesson plan covers last weeks intended plans
Cosmetology I

January 3rd--Student Holiday       January 4th/Blue day

  • We will go through order of make-up application.  We will coordinate anatomy, facials, and make-up
Cosmetology II and Advanced Cosmetology
  • We will begin Haircutting.  Our focus this week will be on:  The Principles of Haircutting, identifying the different types of cuts and their degrees of elevation.

*Cosmetology Club will meet Tuesday, January 4th right after school
