Monday-Tuesday
- We will begin a new unit, Anatomy & Physiology in Cosmetology. Teacher will provide a general overview, students will read and answer chapter review questions, and then we will discuss the content in detail.
- Students will create Anatomy & Physiology graphic organizers and diagrams to be utilized as references and study guides
- We will review Anatomy and begin unit project
- Students will work on unit-related performance assessments, focal point is stimulation through massage: facials, manicures/pedicures, scalp massages
Monday
- Student will continue with hair braiding performance assessment
- Students are allowed to continue to assess on Histology unit. We will begin our next unit Principles of Hair Design and Hairstyling. Teacher will provide a general overview, students will read and answer chapter review questions, and then we will discuss the content in detail.
- Students will work on application of unit performance assessments. The hairstyles and other cosmetology performances and services will go towards completion of the course summative project. For the course summative project, students will create portfolios of their work.
